As a regional council, we continually advocate for region-wide projects that have a significant impact on Northland's wellbeing. Making decisions in partnership with Maori is vital to our mahi, as part of honouring our Treaty of Waitangi obligations, and we also want to make council services more accessible. As our region grows, we also need to grow to support the work we need to deliver on. You may have noticed there are a lot of plans to be thinking about at the moment If you're keen to have your say on transport priorities for Northland, we're currently consulting on the Regional Land Transport Plan and Regional Public Transport Plan. Overall, we're planning to spend around $35M a year on our regional leadership activities, including the work we're proposing here.
